A CLARION CALL FROM OUR ANTARATMA

Our inner selves, our Antaratma, know we as a race have ruined this planet more than any other, and that we continue to do so. We, however, do not act much on this.

Antaratma was envisioned as an attempt to act on it, as an attempt to nudge others to do the same by being as environmentally friendly as possible in our everyday functioning.

Antaratma, a trademark under Antaratma Lifestyle Private Limited, is the first step towards a larger movement aimed at making a behavioural change possible in fellow beings.

This is not limited to offering sustainably-crafted, long-lasting, functional apparel.

Antaratma aspires to be synonymous with a certain lifestyle choice — slow, mindful, kind — and hopes to build a community of beings who appreciate life — the one we are living and the one within us — and have great admiration and respect for the wellbeing of themselves, their fellow beings, and Mother Nature.

We want to urge everyone to tap into their souls, ask tough questions, find answers, and make amends that matter.

OUR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

PACKAGING STORY

At Antaratma, like we have mentioned before, we want to put all our energy into ensuring we are as sustainable as possible — from sourcing to stitching, purchasing to packaging, and design to delivery.

Packaging is an important part of the shopping experience, especially the e-commerce experience. We have carefully put together each element so that every delivery becomes an experience in itself, before experiencing the quality of the garments.

Our packaging is 100 percent sustainable and biodegradable. Our hang tags are made using seed paper and are tied to the garment using coir threads. Every customer can give life to a Basil plant by using our seed paper hang tags.

The wrapping tissues we use are made using acid-free papers, printed with Soy ink, and are completely degradable. The thank you card we place in the box is normal, 100% degradable paper.

Our garment box is made of recycled hard paper and printed using a single-colour eco-friendly dye.

CIRCULARITY AND WASTE MANAGEMENT

The fashion industry is known to produce a lot of waste. We collect and store all the cut-pieces produced during our manufacturing process and use it to make other useful products like pillow covers and carry bags. We, however, do not sell these yet.

To ensure circularity in fashion, we hope to partner with organisations and products that help us resell and upcycle old garments.
